Moscow court to resume hearing report against Google on Dec 4

MOSCOW, Nov 24 (PRIME) -- Moscow’s Tagansky District Court has delayed hearing of an administrative offense report against Google for repeated non-deletion of fake information about the special operation from YouTube under which the U.S. tech giant can be fined up to one tenth of its annual income till December 4, a court representative told PRIME late on Thursday.

“To postpone till December 4 at 2.30 p.m.,” Judge Marina Orlova said.

The company’s lawyer asked the court to delay consideration of the case because he needed more time to get familiarized with the materials of 800 pages and translate them.

Google was earlier punished twice with turnover-based fines – 7.2 billion rubles in late 2021 and 21.7 billion rubles for non-deletion of fake information about the Russian army.

(88.1206 rubles – U.S. $1)
